YouTube Live Thur Apr 23rd!

Hi everyone!

Well… I was supposed to be playing at Debonair Music Hall in Teaneck NJ April 23rd with my American band. Instead I’m going to come to you solo from my lower east side Manhattan studio this Thursday April 23rd. Special guest, Jasper Fields, he’s 14 years old! Show time will be 2pm NY time 8pm Oslo time. I know that’s early for all you US fans, however I wanted to do something special for all my friends in Europe and they will be able to see the show at a decent hour.

I have to tell you, even though I’m not driving anywhere or moving any gear, it’s still a LOT of work to put on one of these shows! I put a lot of thought into what I’m going to play and then I practice it so I don’t suck LOL!!! It’s obviously different when you play solo which is why I will be playing to some tracks that I have specially created just for this show AND I’m planning some other cool things for this show. If you have any requests, please email me back.

Also, I’m making the big push to get more subscribers on my YouTube channel. My goal is to get to 1,000 subscribers by the end of May so please, if you haven’t done so already, subscribe to my YouTube channel!

I apologize for the technical difficulties with the last show and I want to thank all of you that patiently checked it out. I’ve been putting in extra time to make sure that never happens again. I’ve turned my small 5’x12’ recording studio into a YouTube live studio and it’s not as easy as I was hoping it would be. The lighting, the streaming, the audio… my vision is to make it look as if you were seeing and and hearing in a music venue, not like I’m just sitting on couch (although I can do that! LOL!)

I will be posting new videos every week for the forseeable future. I have four new live videos with my band ready to go when FORCE OF WILL gets released, which is looking like sometime in June.

Hi Everyone!

On a personal note, not that my newsletters are not personal! My family: Judy, my son Jasper and I have been riding it out here in the center of the Coronavirus storm on the lower east side. Being a native New Yorker, there are many things that annoy me and thrill me about this amazing city that we live in. Most recently it’s nice to see how people have been taking social distancing and wearing masks to heart. We are truly a team as a nation now working together to get past this pandemic. I’m wishing every one of you readers that you stay safe and healthy through this tragic era in our history.

Also, I will be announcing a special YouTube live “From NYC” afternoon show that will be geared for my European fans. Stay tuned for info on that!

Aries Birthday Show April 11th

It’s been another tough week here throughout the world. Especially here in NYC… Life goes on and we will triumph over this virus.

I was supposed to be having my big Aries birthday bash this Saturday in Phoenixville PA but obviously things in the world have changed. But that’s ok, there ain’t nothing like an Aries birthday party LOL!!!! The show must go on!

This Saturday April 11th, 8pm EST (GMT-4) (NY time), please join me as well as my fellow Aries to celebrate my birthday (and Robin Bacote’s) for a YouTube live show direct from my lower east side NYC recording studio. YouTube live from NYC Fri April 3rd

It’s another week here sequestered in the lower east but for most of us throughout the world, we are all going to be confined to our homes for a little while. But that doesn’t mean that we can’t still have a Dave Fields show LOL!

This Friday April 3rd, 8pm EST (GMT-4) (NY time), I will be doing my first ever YouTube live show direct from my living room on the lower east side! I will be SOLO. However, I have a few tricks up my sleeve. I must confess I’m a little nervous! I hope I get the lighting and sound right. It’s just ME no sound man, no lighting person, JUST ME! Whatever happens, it’s going to be fun and in these trying times we could all use a little fun.

To all my readers and fans,

I must confess, I’ve been sort of s state of shock during the past weeks. Not just because all the shows have been curtailed or because not just the music business but the whole world has come to a halt, but because we are all facing as a human race what can be called a modern “911” health crisis. With the exception of the Spanish flu, we haven’t been in this situation in modern times.

I’ve been focusing on my family, glued to the TV and not focusing on music. Being that my family and I live in lower Manhattan, we are arguably in the center of the hot zone. I will say that I am not scared or worried about staying in NYC. Even though I have seen many of my fellow New Yorkers not observe social distancing like they should. New Yorkers are resilient and being that I was born and raised here (also in NJ!) I will not be scared away.
