Hey!

Again, I’m writing you this email from my iPad here in snowy Norway and with Europe gripped in the icy claws of a cold spell, it’s EXTRA cold here! By the time some of you are reading this I will be on the plane headed back to NYC. Even though the past two weeks were absolutely amazing I’m glad to be coming home.

Wow…… the shows we did at SINUS in Bodø Norway and LYSTGAARD RESTAURANT Skjerstad Norway were amazing if I do say so myself. Bassist Trond Hansen and drummer Kåre “Lefty” Amundsen were thunderous. I have to send a special shout out to Kåre Amundsen, wow…. he’s was THUNDEROUS! He will be in the US with me for my upcoming shows April 27th – May 6th. You have to check him out!

I’m sorry… I’ve been so busy lately working I haven’t had time to write LOL! January has been a month of organizing the next new exciting Dave Fields things like reconnecting with my dear friend Norwegian drummer Kåre Amundsen, who will be playing with me in these upcoming shows in Norway the end of February.

I’ve also been in the studio doing demos for my new CD of which I hope to release in the next year or so. You will be hearing more about that in the upcoming weeks.

Next week, Friday Feb 2nd I will be at NJ’s legendary music venue STANHOPE HOUSE Stanhope NJ 45 Main St Stanhope NJ. With me will be The Ferocious Band: the amazing Buddy Allen on bass and Lee Jeffryes on drums. Opening acts will be Trevor B Power, No Bad Days and Matthew Colin. Its going to be an amazing night of music!!!

Saturday Feb 3rd we will be at the EASYRIDER BIKE SHOW Atlantic (Convention Center) City NJ from 10:30-11:30am & 1:45-2:45pm. Being a motorcyclist I love playing for all my motorcycle friends!

Hey Hey Hey!

This Tuesday, Dec 12th, I will be the opening act for Samantha Fish and Louie Fontaine at THE STANHOPE HOUSE 45 Main St Stanhope NJ with a 7pm one set show. I will have the amazing Kenny Soule on drums and Erik Boyd on bass who have played on most of CD’s. It’s going to be amazing!

My last NYC show of 2017 is next Thursday Dec 21st at CLUB BONAFIDE 212 East 52nd St NY NY where I will be doing a double bill with Blues Music Award winner Deanna Bogart! Deanna will thrill you with her diverse amazing talents. Her tenor sax and piano playing are on fire not to mention she’s one of my favorite singers and entertainers. Wow!

It’s been a while since I’ve sent out a newsletter! My trip overseas to Norway, Germany, Spitzbergen and Ukraine were absolutely amazing but it took me a while to recover! Let me just say that my band: Erik Boyd (bass) and Matt Arbeiter (drums) were fantastic and I got to see so many of my friends overseas and met so many new ones. I’m excited to be back and over the next few weeks I will be sharing some of those new friends at my shows including Thursday Dec 21st at CLUB BONAFIDE where I will be doing a double bill with the amazing Deanna Bogart!

This week I will be a special guest with Rich Borge and JB Lessen at Hilltop Tavern 50 Essex St Lodi NJ on Monday November 27th which is also Jimi Hendrix’s birthday!

Friday Dec 1st I return to Philadelphia’s best blues music venue The Twisted Tail 509 S 2nd St Philadelphia PA. With me will be the amazing Buddy Allen on bass and Lee Jeffryes on drums, I can’t wait!
